Puppet Show

Dear Parents, as we are into the new academic year of 2017-18, Elim has initiated many new things for this academic year. One of the initiatives is class-wise joint activity on every Friday. The activity is held at the new multipurpose hall on the First Floor of the building. The activities include puppet show, dance performance, show & tell, music learning, drama performance, etc. This is planned as part of the extra curricular activities of the School, which would help our children to express themselves, communicating in good English to a larger crowd, identify the new talents and potentials hidden in our children, learning good values and principles for live, and enjoy with fun and laughter with a larger crowd. In this session children are given opportunities to stand in front of the whole school to communicate, express themselves, helping them to be good communicators and leaders.

Elim Graduation, Feb, 2017 Photos and Videos

Following are the photos and videos of Elim's Annual Day and Graduation 2016-17, held on Feb 22, 2017, at Elim's Multipurpose Hall, Doddakannelli, Sarjapur Road. The event was a fun-filled and talent showcase occasion for all the students of Elim, including the students from the Tiny Tots' Class (Playgroup). Children as young as two years of age were able to stand before a crowd of around 200 people and performed well. Thanks to all the Elim staff who worked so hard for more than 3 months, and parents who co-operated well with the staff and prepared the children for the great occasion. Our prayers go along with the 15 students who graduated at the event, having completed successfully their kindergarten studies. Some of them spent 4 years at Elim starting with Playgroup, and all the way to kindergarten. We will definitely miss them around, but we wish them Godspeed. May the Almighty God guide them all the way. We thank the Lord for helping us complete yet another blessed academic year with so many parents and students finding Elim as a comfortable and safe place for the schooling and daycare need. To God be the Glory! 

Before we share with you the videos and photos of the event, we want to share with you the new look Elim got, having spent last 3 years to get a completely upgraded building for Elim, built on a 9000 sq ft of land area on Sarjapur Road. The new building is a four story building that caters to Covenant Reformed Church, Bangalore, (CBPCI), on the third and fourth floors and to Elim Preschool and Care on the ground and first floors. With this, Elim is a very spacious place with many spacious class rooms, internal and external play areas, very modern wash rooms, extra-curricular activity rooms, function and event hall, etc, etc. We thank the Lord for such blessed provision from Him that we are able to serve the community around with the Love of the Lord Jesus Christ and for His glory alone.

Children advance in their early school learning process here with the help of fully equipped Montessori classrooms. Children are prepared to make and read simple sentences with correct pronunciation, cursive writing, advance in arithmetic, express themselves confidently through show & tell, engage themselves in group and thematic activities, participate in competitive games and activities, etc, etc.

Eduflex, the Elim School App at Work

Dear parents, pls note that Elim's computer app, the Eduflex, is being used by the School to do the periodic weekly updates from the School. Pls remember to login in periodically, and especially on Fridays or Saturdays for the weekly update. Since the app is operational, we may not send the weekly updates in the School Diary. If any parent does not have student login id and password, pls let the Elim office or concerned teacher know. Tuition fee details of your child are periodically updated online through the app. You may also take the printout of the receipt from the portal. We are happy that Eduflex app is working well for the School and through this communication between the School and parents become easy. 

Those parents who have not paid the second installment of the School Tuition fee, pls do at the earliest.

Annual Day and Graduation 2016-17 (Rehearsal)

Dear Parents, preparations for Annual Day and Graduation 2016-17 are going on in full swing. We all are getting ready for the Big Day on February 22. Following are some of the shots we have taken, just to give you a prelude to what is going to happen on the day. Pls do not miss the event. The students and staff of Elim have been working very hard for the last three months to make this day very memorable, not only for the 15 students graduating from the Senior KG Class, but for all of us. 

Pls note that the program will begin at 10.00 am sharp. Amble parking space has been arranged as our neighbor V V R School has consented to open their playground for our parking need. Parents are requested to directly enter into V V R ground, park your vehicles, and then come to Elim. All the students need to be at the School by 9.00 am sharp. The program will be over by 11.30.The School has arranged a professional photographer, and the photos will be uploaded on to Elim Blog. We request all the parents to co-operate with us. After the program, while returning, parents are requested to collect their children as there will be not be any transportation arrangement for sending the children back home. Registration Started for Year 2017-18

Dear Parents,                                                                                                    
As we are approaching the end of the academic year 2016-17, preparations are on for the new academic year (2017-18). There are plenty of developmental works going on the campus to make the place more spacious, safe, and convenient to all. Come June, there will be lot of new changes on the premises. We are converting the open backyard of the school building as an internal play area, fully enclosed with windows and nets, with an additional toilet and washing area for the children. Children from the Prenursery and Nursery classes will share that area for their physical recreation. 
From June onwards, our school vehicles will not be parked on the road for alighting and pickup of children, rather, the vehicles will be driven inside of the school premises. We are widening the third entrance of the school and making room for this purpose.
We are also preparing an audio/video, music and dance hall on the newly constructed first floor of the building. It will be open to all classes for their extra-curricular activities. 
We have also appointed few more new staff, and currently they are under our training to be fully functional from June 2017. 
Parents pls note that registration for the new academic year is going on and all the existing students who are desiring to continue with us for the next academic year should complete the registration process by filling the attached form and paying the utility fee for the next year. The utility fee for the next academic year is Rs 8,000.00 (Payment can be made either by cheque or by NEFT, in favor of India Covenant Ministries Trust.) Without completing this process, there will not be any guarantee of place for the new season. Parents are requested to complete this process on or before Feb 28, 2017. The revised fee structure for the academic year 2017-18 is uploaded on Eduflex, and pls log on to Eduflex for the same.

New Calendar Year, 2017

Elim welcomes the New Year, 2017, with great expectation. The on going renovation work of the campus is one of the important highlights of the New Year. Once the renovation is completed by May 2017, Elim will have many new facilities such as a brand new Smart Classroom, where children from all the classes will spend special times for audio/video learning, music and dance, preparations for the School special events, etc. Elim will have more internal play area as the outer courts of the School building are being developed with enclosures for a safe and clean internal play area with an attached dining area and washroom. Another highlight is the multipurpose mini auditorium with 300 people seating capacity on the third and fourth level of the building which will be used for the School special functions such as Annual/Graduation Day, Independence Day celebrations, etc. 

Elim's Annual/Graduation Day 2017 is scheduled on February 18 (Saturday) and the class-wise preparations are going on for the events. This year 15 students will be graduating from our Senior KG class. We wish them God's guidance and blessings for the path ahead of them.

In the New Year we expect few more new teaching and helping staff to join the pool of Elim's staff. 

We welcome all the new students who have joined in the New Year. Thank you parents for placing your trust on us. We look forward to serving you as we take care of your little ones. 

As the preparation for the Annual/Graduation Day is going on, we request all the parents to send children regularly so that they will not miss the preparations.

Elim's Christmas and Year-End Holidays

Dear Parents, pls take note that Elim Preschool and Daycare will be closed from Dec 22 (Thursday) till Dec 30 (Friday) for the Christmas and Year-end holidays. The School and Daycare will be reopened on Jan 02 (Monday). Pls note that Elim's office also will be closed during this period and will be opened on Dec 31 (Saturday).

On Nov 14, the Children's Day was celebrated at Elim with a Puppet Show, prepared and presented by the Elim's Teaching Staff. The theme of the show was "The Wise Rabbit and Greedy Lion. Deepa Mam was the presenter, and narrated the story very well, and all other teachers were behind the curtain, shaking the puppets. It was an enjoying and relaxing time for all the children. Eduflex, the Elim School App at Work

Dear parents, pls note that Elim's computer app, the Eduflex, is being used by the School to do the periodic weekly updates from the School. Pls remember to login in periodically, and especially on Fridays or Saturdays for the weekly update. Since the app is operational, we may not send the weekly updates in the School Diary. If any parent does not have student login id and password, pls let the Elim office or concerned teacher know. Tuition fee details of your child are periodically updated online through the app. You may also take the printout of the receipt from the portal. We are happy that Eduflex app is working well for the School and through this communication between the School and parents become easy. 

Those parents who have not paid the second installment of the School Tuition fee, pls do at the earliest. 

In the light of the current unrest happening due to the Cauverey water issue, the School has postponed the proposed School Field Trip for this year. We will let you know the revised dates. Thanks,

Dear Parents,                                                                        Date: November 08, 2016

Pls take note of the details of the class outings planned on Nov 10 & 11. On Nov 10 (Thur) the Kindergarten classes (Junior & Senior KG) will be going to Lalbagh Botanical Garden. On Nov 11 (Fri) the Nursery classes will be going to HAL Museum. In the light of this Nov 10 (Thur) will be a holiday for the Nursery classes, and Nov 11 (Fri) will be a holiday for KG classes.

Pls note that there will not be any change in the morning schedule as the morning arrival to the School will be normal. For the afternoon, the vehicles will be back to school between 1.30-2.00 pm, and parents who pick up the children from School should come to school by this time. (It will not be possible for the school to call all the parents and inform the arrival. Pls co-operate with us.) For those parents who avail School transportation, the drop time will be between 2.00-3.00 pm. The School will take upmost care to make sure the safety of all the children, and parents are requested not to make any panic calls to the office or to the teachers. Pls make sure that the snacks you send should be little heavy. For those students who are scheduled to be sent home by the School vehicles (Second Trip, eg students coming from Gear School side, Carmelram, Gunjjur, Kodathi, Muthanelloor) we request the parents to send lunch, which would be consumed at School after they come back from the field trip. If you have any query on these things, pls call on 9590 7373 52 during the office hours (between 9.00 am – 5.00 pm).

Elim's New Building and More Facilities

Elim's building upgradation which started two years ago is almost coming to the completion. The new facilities will be functional from June 2017. With the upgradation of the building, we are able to provide more facilities for the School such as internal play area, AV Room for music and dance, and other extra-curricular activities, more class rooms, washrooms, etc, etc. The new building, once completed, will have more than 22,000 sq ft space area with a mini auditorium with 250 people seating capacity. This will be used for Elim's major events such as Annual Day, Graduation Day Function, Independence Day event, etc, etc.

Dear Parents,

In the light of the Karnataka bandh called by certain local organizations to protest against the Cauvery water issue, tomorrow (September 09) will be a holiday for Elim Preschool. 

Pls also note that September 13 (Tuesday) will be the Bakrid holiday for both the Preschool and Daycare. September 12 (Monday) will be a normal working day.

Dear Parents,

Pls take note that, since there is call for Bharat Bandh tomorrow by the Trade Unions, tomorrow (Sept 02) will be a holiday for Elim Preschool and Daycare. Since it is a call by the Trade Unions, we anticipate the intensity of its nature, and for the safety of our children, staff, and property, the management feels that it would be wise to keep the doors closed for tomorrow. We understand that there will be some inconvenience for the Daycare parents, but pls make some alternative arrangements. (If the Unions decide to revoke the Bandh call, the School & Daycare will function normal tomorrow.)

The School and Daycare will also be closed on Monday (September 05) due to Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

Elim, Sarjapur Road, Bangalore, Independence Day Celebrations were held on Aug 11, 2016, at Elim's Multipurpose Hall, in Doddakannelli. Children from all classes participated with songs, dance, and skits, relating to the freedom struggle our great nation went through 69 years ago. The event was a great occasion for the school to acknowledge the pain and agony our fathers went through to secure freedom for our country. Today we are still in bondage of sin--anger, jealousy, corruption, violence, etc, etc. The Junior and Senor KG children presented a skit on We Got Freedom. We have uploaded the video here and pls watch it and find out how do we get freedom from those struggles the humanity is in today. Thank God for Freedom!

Circular #4, Independence Day Celebrations 2016

Dear Parents,
We want to thank all the parents who have attended the PTM held last two weeks. Generally, we are satisfied by the good response and enthusiasm from the parents. Many of you have well appreciated the hard work put in by the teaching and support staff. Thank you for the words of encouragement. Those parents who have missed the occasion, pls make private arrangement with respective teachers.

Pls take note of the Independence Day celebrations which will take place on Aug 11, Thursday. The details are communicated to you by the respective teachers. If you have any queries of the same, pls directly contact the teachers. The program will be from 10.00 – 11.00 am, and all children should be at School at 9.00 am. Children should come dressed up in their respective state costumes from home. Send only a light snacks. School transport facilities will be the same as usual. If you do not require transportation pls let the respective drivers know. Parents are invited for the event, but note that we have a very limited facility to accommodate all. Pls also note that the School will not be able to provide parking facilities to all the parents, and therefore, if you are planning to attend the function, pls find your own parking on the Sarjapur Main Road.

Pls also note that Aug 12, Friday, will be a holiday (due to Varamahalakshmi) for Elim Preschool, but Elim Daycare will be functioning normal. Both the Preschool and Daycare will be closed on Aug 15, Monday.

Those parents who have opted for 3 instalment school fee payment system, pls note that the second instalment is due in Aug. (To those parents, the fee reminder slip is attached.) Appreciate your prompt response, without any further reminder.

Classes for all Students Normal from June 06, 2016

Dear parents, pls note that classes for all the Departments of Elim, namely, Prenursery, Nursery, and Kindergarten, will be normal from Monday onward (June 06, 2016). The timing will be 9.00 - 12.00. KG students will have an extended time later. School transportation also will be normal from Monday onward. Pls cooperate with the school admin as it will take few days for the transportation system to be regularized. 

For those parents who have noted collected the books from office, teachers of the respective classes will distribute the same this week (June 06-10). The first term fee need to be paid by this week, and for details of the fee, school will be sending circulars this week. 

We want to thank all parents for placing your trust with Elim. We look forward to your continuous support and cooperation. 

New Academic Year (2016-17) Begins on May 30, 2016

Dear parents pls note that Elim's Academic Year 2016-17 begins on May 30 (Monday) for the new admissions, and for the existing students classes will begin on June 02 (Thursday). Parents pls note that for the first week of classes, the timing will be 09.00 - 11.00 am. School transportation will function normally only from June 06 (Monday). We look forward to another fruitful academic year. 

Eduflex Computer App and Elim

This is a good news for all our parents that from this coming academic year (2016-17) onward, Elim will be run by Eduflex Computer App. With this, life will become easy for everyone. Parents will get periodic updates about their children on their mobile, and also sms alerts will be send periodically. For those who avail school transportation, we are planning to install the GPS in all our vehicles so that parents can monitor the movements of the vehicles online. In order to prepare the web page for every student, we request the parents to submit the latest passport size photograph of each student. Thanks for your co-operation. 

Books Distribution for Academic Year 2016-17

Dear Parents, pls take note that Elim has started distribution of books and other study materials for the next academic year (2016-17). For all our existing students who will be continuing with Elim, parents pls note that you have to pay the Annual Utility Fee of Rs 5,000.00 at the time of collecting the books. 

Pls also note that classes for the next academic year will begin on May 30 (Monday) for the students who have newly joined, and for the existing returning students, the classes will begin on June 02 (Thursday). We look forward to having another academic year of learning and serving, for the glory of God!

Important Note to all Parents

Last Parent Teachers Meeting: The last PTM for the current academic year will be held on March 28 (Mon) for Prenursery and Junior KG classes and March 29 (Tues) for Nursery and Senior KG Classes. The timing will be from 09.30 am – 12.00 noon. If you will not be available for these dates, pls contact the respective teachers for alternative arrangements. Those who have not confirmed their children’s continuance with Elim for the next academic year, pls do so at the earliest.

Last Day of classes and summer holidays: March 23 (Wednesday) will be the last working day for all classes (playgroup, prenursery, nursery, & KG). Thereafter, only the daycare children will be coming to School. Parents who desire to continue sending the children to school during the summer holidays, need to discuss this separately at the office. 

Elim Summer Camp: You may send children for Elim’s Summer Camp from April 06-22. The theme is The Colors of Life, leaning about the specialties of various colors and its relation to various symbols, cultures and countries, and way of life. The fees will be Rs 2,700.00. (Transportation Rs 1,000.00 will be extra. Siblings will have some discount). 

Next Academic Year: The School will re-open for the next academic year on June 02 (Thursday) for the returning students. For the new students, the academic year 2016-17 will begin on May 30 (Monday).

Elim's Annual Day and Graduation 2016 was held on March 19 (Saturday) at Elim's Multipurpose Hall, attended by a large crowd. More than 120 children from Elim Preschool and Daycare participated in the mega event. It was an event adorned with color, music, solemnity, and reverence to God. We want to thank all the parents for making the children available for the event and co-operating with Elim staff to make the event a wonderful experience for all, especially a memorable event for the graduating class 2016. A special word of thanks goes to our neighbor, the V V R School management, for opening up their adjacent vacant ground for our carparking need for the event.

·         Elim has school-owned transportation system where all the vehicles having the Govt mandated “school-bus” tag with necessary safety measures in-placed. This academic year Elim has added two more new vehicles, namely, TATA Winger and Maruti Eeco. The drivers of these vehicles are trusted people who have been with Elim for many years. For safety reasons, Elim does not hire drivers from agencies.

Our Programs (and Age)

Playgroup/Prenursery (1.5-2.8)

Early childhood learning is planned here with a special focus on children interacting each other through indoor play activities, music, art & craft, story-telling, and outdoor play and games. This helps children to be confident and independent at an early age.

Nursery (2.9-3.8)

Children’s organized learning begins here with a well-planned curriculum, focusing on phonics, enrichment of vocabulary, writing, and working with thematic materials to enhance their understanding on the basic areas of early childhood education and practical life.

Kindergarten (3.9-6.0)

Children advance in their early school learning process here with the help of fully equipped Montessori classrooms. Children are prepared to make and read simple sentences with correct pronunciation, cursive writing, advance in arithmetic, express themselves confidently through show & tell, engage themselves in group and thematic activities, participate in competitive games and activities, etc, etc.

Daycare and Afterschool Care (1.5-9.0)

Children are engaged with extra-curricular activities, moulded with ethical values, and physically developed through outdoor play and games.
