Elim, Not Another, But a Different Preschool and Childcare

Elim is not just another preschool and childcare on Sarjapur Road, but is here with a difference to make an impact in the lives of children and parents come to Elim. Our motto is "Engaging Minds, Moulding Lives ......Through Vision, Commitment, and Quality." This is based on Proverbs 22:6 of the Bible, the Holy Word of God, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." We not only emphasize academic excellence and quality care, but along with that character formation, and this to be done through the Word of God.

Elim is a service minded institution rather than profit minded. Therefore we provide quality service with a fee structure affordable even to middle income families.

Since we are service minded institution, and guided by Christian values and principles, we provide quality service with much love and devotion, and with the fear of the Lord.

Elim has a fully setup Childcare & Early Learning Centre with an integrated curriculum, which is mainly activity oriented. The Centre is run by a Montessori Graduate (from India Montessori Training Centre, Banashankari Campus), who also has a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education from Singapore. Our Centre is setup on a 10,000 sq ft campus and with a 5,500 sq ft built-up area, and located on Sarjapur Main Road, close to Wipro office.

The Centre also has a Music Centre, Elim Melody, to teach Piano and Guitar to children and we have made instrumental music learning part of our main Curriculum.

Elim’s Features

Integrated Curriculum:
We have a well planned, Montessori based, integrated curriculum, catering to daycare, before and after school care, and playschool and nursery children.

The pictures below show our classrooms with the materials provided for the children to develop their senses, language, arithemetic, science, geography, music, etc, etc.

Music Lessons (Piano, Keyboard, & Guitar):

Our integrated curriculum includes instrumental music, teaching children the basic lessons of Piano, Keyboard, and Guitar. These lessons are given by the Principal of the Centre as she is a trained pianist, and other teachers from Elim Melody, our Music Training Centre. We introduce to children songs and instrumental musical activities in small groups, by which they are able to understand the music notes and other basics of instrumental music. For this purpose, our centre has Traditional Upright and Digital Pianos, Keyboards, and Guitars. We allow the children to handle these instruments and learn instrumental music from an early age of 4.

Character Formation:
When schools aim for academic excellence with all the modern facilities and well researched and planned curriculum, there is a danger of neglecting another important aspect of education, that is, character formation. It is important to equally emphasize the character building of our children so that we not only produce intellectuals, but at the same time, people who are with a heart to fear God. With this aim in mind, we regularly teach moral and spiritual lessons and our lessons are basically taken from some of the biblical characters and parables.

Physical Fitness:
A healthy child is the wealth of the nation and joy of the family. We take special care to provide a clean and healthy atmosphere to the children, helping them for their physical fitness and growth. Our classrooms, care rooms, toilets, kitchen, and playground reflect this emphasis of ours. We have ample space in the surroundings and an adjacent playground for ball games, cycling, and running, helping children’s physical fitness.

Our facilities include beautifully designed and decorated spacious class rooms and care rooms, air conditioned hall for library reading and activities, LCD Projector & PA System for Video and Audio learning, Upright and Digital Pianos, Keyboards, and Guitars, fully equipped neat and clean kitchen, adjacent playground, sand-filled outdoor play area with playing equipments, etc.

Following pictures show our spacious classrooms, which are not just rooms but mini halls with plenty of ventilation for fresh air circulation and natural light.
