Elim Melody -- The Music Emphasis of Elim

One of the features of Elim is the music emphasis, especially instrumental music. Elim Melody is the Piano School of Elim where we introduce to children piano and keyboard at a very early age. Of those Preschool and Daycare children, who are interested to pursue further the piano and keyboard learning, Elim Melody offers separate piano and keyboard classes in the evenings, from Monday to Friday, 4.00 - 7.00 pm. 

For the piano classes, we follow the John Thompson's Piano Course Series. Along with this, as part of practice, we introduce Sacred Hymns and Choruses. 

The Elementary Level children learn in small groups of two to three, and once children are into the Grades, we offer classes on one on one basis (one teacher for one student).

Our piano teachers are trained pianists, certified by the Associate Board of Royal School of Music (ABRSM), London. Our aim is to prepare children for the grade by grade level ABRSM exams. Our long term aim is to help children mature in their piano learning so that they can serve the Lord as pianists and organists in churches for sacred worship for the glory of God.

Thematic Learning -- Water Animals

Part of the thematic learning, children learn of the water animals by preparing a craft and painting of jelly fish, being taught by Aunty Rachel Whitbreads.

Elim's Wall Painting with a Biblical Theme

Elim has recently added two wall paintings in the class rooms, one to the daycare children's playing and activity hall, and other to the preschool children's class room 1. Both paintings depict biblical themes, one portraying the Creation Account of Genesis 1, saying, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth" (Genesis 1:1), and the other the Genesis Flood of Noah's time from Genesis 6, saying, in the midst God's punishment upon the whole world for the wickedness of man, "Noah found grace in the eyes of LORD" (Genesis 6:8).
